Hello Hillsboro Christian Academy family. My name is Guillermo Alvarez, and I am a high school Bible and Spanish teacher. This is my second-year teaching at HCA. I grew up in California but was born in Mexico.

I am a full-time preaching minister and currently I am the preacher for the Northside church of Christ here in Hillsboro. I’ve been preaching for over 20 years and have had the opportunity to preach the gospel in several Spanish speaking countries (Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, República Dominicana and Ecuador) as well as all over the United States (California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Indiana, Ohio).

I feel privileged with the opportunity to teach the most important book ever given to man, the Bible, and to be able to introduce our great students to a second language, Spanish.
